How do we ‘automate’ cross-posting to Medium and other platforms?

In a world full of automation, Medium and other writing platforms like Substack are fully against it.

There’s no API for both. Substack hasn’t had it since the beginning, while Medium closed all of its API access for almost every service in recent years.

A few years before, I was using Zapier to post my blog content (WordPress) to Medium automatically. At the beginning of this year, it stopped working. Since then, I haven’t found a working solution to this problem.

The medium importer works only for one post import at a time.

Don’t waste your time in finding a work-around for automating your cross-posting.

You can cross-post, but you can’t automate it.

Close to automating the cross-posting.

I am using the Ulysses app as my primary writing app. (But I prefer to write in Medium’s editor if I am planning to write the story only for Medium).

From Ulysses, I can post the same content twice on two different platforms. In Medium and WordPress (hosted).

At the least, Medium gave access to the post through the Ulysses app. Substack has zero way to post from outside.

Every publishing platform wants exclusive access to our content. Every writer wants to publish on all the platforms where their potential reader exists.

Nowadays if you’re spending in creating for 1 hour, you need to spend 10 for promoting and distributing it. I don’t want to spend those 10 hours, instead I like to create more on that time.

Unfortunately, if you are earning your living out of writing, then you need to focus on all these things more than you focus on writing. Very bad right?
